【摘要】:1.1Thisstandardisapplicablefornewescalatorsandmovingwalks(palletorbelttype)asdefinedinClause3.Thisstandarddealswithallsignificanthazards,hazardoussituationsandeventsrelevanttoescalatorsandmovingwalkswhentheyareusedasintendedandunderconditionsofmisusewhicharereasonablyforeseeablebythemanufacturer(seeClause4).1.2Thisstandarddoesnotdealwithhazardsarisingfromseismicactivities.1.3ThisdocumentisnotapplicabletoescalatorsandmovingwalkswhichweremanufacturedbeforethedateofitspublicationasEN.Itis,however,recommendedthatexistinginstallationsbeadaptedtothisstandard.
